Dixie (Strider’s Ready to Run Dixie) became a member of our family in March of 2002.

Dixie’s breeder is Wanda Berner, home of Strider Vizslas.

Dixie’s Sire (Father) is Ompoints Gamma Ray ckc GN451825 (Canada).
Dixie’s Dam (Mother) is FC Strider’s TNG SN455078/06 (06-02) OFA25G.

Dixie is a very fun girl. She plays hard and tries very hard to please her family. She accepts training well. Dixie, like every Vizsla loves to snuggle with our family. She doesn't really care who, as long as it is a warm body. She also loves children and pays special attention to all kids. Our girl Dixie is a perfect fit in our family! Dixie is a very mindful dog and she often does things around the house before she is asked. She knows when it is time for her to go to her kennel. She will be in the kennel as you are about to tell her to get in. So, she is a dog who is very aware of her surroundings.

Dixie has had extensive field training. She has spent time with trainer Gary Jagoda and amateur trainer Jim Blumentritt. She has a superior nose and she works game intelligently. She is very respectful to her handler. She reaches forward and always hits the great, likely objectives while hunting in the field, but she is also always aware of her handler. Dixie has numerous field trial placements and after her litter we will begin more extensive field training.
Dixie has been bred to FC AFC Pointe Blancs Rusty Miracle (Duke). This breeding will produce very high quality puppies. Our Duke is a Field Champion and Amateur Field Champion.
